The short answer: their champion left for Hightouch in January, no one replaced him, and Hightouch came back with a 40%-off bundle right as Meridian Lab's parent company was cutting costs. We had the warning signs but didn't act on the playbook.

What Galaxy showed me:

Account basics — Meridian Labs, Enterprise plan, $142K ARR, 2.3 years as a customer. Churned April 18, 2026. CSM was Jane Doe, AE was John Smith.

The trigger event — Galaxy's contact records show that the current VP Data, our main champion, left on January 29 and joined Hightouch. His replacement, Sarah Okonkwo, had a prior working relationship with Hightouch from her last company.

Usage collapsed right after — In the 30 days following Marcus's departure, weekly active users dropped from 47 down to 12. That's a 74% decline.
